1. 65 years old gentleman presented to his GP with a history of chest pain. Chest X-ray of showed numerous lytic lesions. Blood test revealed a high ESR.
2. Routine testing in a 79 years old gentleman revealed monoclonal immunoglobulin fragments in the serum but no demonstrable plasma cell abnormality. There was also no other significant findings.
3. A 68 years old lady presented with back pain and general malaise. Blood tests revealed a high ESR and raised calcium. Bence Jones proteins were detected in the urine.
4. A 71 years old gentleman presented to you complaining of fatigue. During the consultation, you noticed that he showed signs of confusion. Retinal examination revealed engorged veins, haemorrhages and exudates. Subsequent serum electrophoresis revealed a high IgM level.
5. A 69 years old gentleman was found to have osteolytic solitary circumscribed lesion associated with secretion of monoclonal immunoglobulin.
